Triple M Melbourne 105.1 is at it again, bringing back the much-anticipated GOAT Countdown, but this time with a twist. We had a mission to uncover the Greatest Year of All Time in music history, and with your help – we nailed it!

We played out the results of each battle, year against year, on 105.1 Triple M Melbourne, over two weeks, with the final results presented by Legend of the station and Godfather of Triple M, Lee Simon!

Lee also recently joined Matty O on Homegrown to tell this amazing anecdote from when he met Lou Reed and Bruce Springsteen:
