Brisbane were left high and dry in the backline last night after Reece Walsh’s early exit from the Grand Final rematch, with many Broncos fans feeling like Tristan Sailor should have been on the bench to cover the void in the outside backs.
Papa Sailor himself, the Big Dell joined Marto, Margaux and Dan and endorsed the calls for Tristan to get a chance.
“People who keep telling me where Tristan should play, he plays anywhere from halfback to fullback.” said Sailor
“In schoolbacks he was NSW Catholic fullback and he’s got a kicking game.”
“He had an opportunity to go to Leigh(Leopards) but he wanted to stay at the Broncos.”
“I said Trist if you wanted to why don’t you go to the Super League for a year and the maybe come back because… Reece Walsh and Selwyn Cobbo you’re not gonna get a go there son!”
“He said Dad I feel real comfortable at the Broncos and I’m going to back myself!”
