After triumphing over France on the weekend, Sam Kerr gave her jersey to young Zara, who aspires to follow in Kerr’s footsteps and play for the Matildas one day via Xav and Michelle for Breakfast.
“We were screaming for Sam Kerr to get the jersey and it just became my true dream…I was so happy that I got it,” Zara said on Xav and Michelle for Breakfast.
“When it finished I wore the jersey because I didn’t want anyone getting it…it was right next to me when I was sleeping and I want to put it in a frame and get her to sign it.”
“I’ve scored 16 goals in 12 games and I’m a striker like her.”
