Having delivered a captivating radio call for one of AFL’s most memorable goals, Dennis Cometti takes a nostalgic look back at the illustrious career of AFL icon Lance “Buddy” Franklin via Xav and Michelle for Breakfast.
“A buzz went through the crowd, I think, when Buddy got the footy…he was one of a kind, certainly,” Dennis said via Xav and Michelle for Breakfast.
“The whole temperature of the game changed when he went near the football, I mean the crowd, whether you were supporting his club or not, really got involved…Buddy never let them down.”
“It’s a great feeling to be associated with champions, it doesn’t make you one but you can hang out with them.”
