Max Gawn spoke to the Marty Sheargold Show ahead of Melbourne’s Round 15 clash against Geelong, talking up the contest as a “modern-day rival”.
“Last year we were coming in hot, and Geelong touched us up. The year before I kicked the goal after the siren,” Gawn said.
“They tend to be really close games, seven of the last eight have been decided by the last kick.”
“We like to think it’s a modern day rival, but Geelong would have a few of them.”
