Damian Barrett all but confirmed Jack Darling will make the move to North Melbourne this off-season, the Eagles veteran hoping to extend his career in Victoria.
The Saturday Rub’s James Brayshaw said his nephew Hamish – a former teammate of Darling – described what the 32-year-old will bring to the struggling Roos.
“He said he is an elite preparer … he’ll be a ripping example for the young kids, and he will light the gym up” Brayshaw explained.
“Hopefully they can get 30 or 40 games out of him.”
The 2018 premiership player had an existing year on his Eagles contract, but has met with North Melbourne in recent weeks in hope of adding extra years onto his deal.
