Daisy spoke on the Sunday Recovery about the upcoming tribunal hearing for Brayden Maynard, giving his opinion on if his season should be over.
“I don’t think he deserves anything.”
“You go…Do you think he will miss? Probably yes.”
“I find it hard to believe the AFL will allow a player to be knocked out under those sort of circumstances. I think their argument will be that he left the ground and that was his decision made.”
“If he does get rubbed out it’s going to suck because he had no malice in that, it was just unfortunate the way it came out.”
When asked if he believed Maynard had any other option than electing to bump, Daisy defended his decision.
“If he didn’t bump, it would have been weirder. The decision to protect yourself is the instinctual one.”
“I don’t think that you could say your option is to put your arms out and flat-chest the bloke… That’s more unreasonable than the fact that he braced.”
