After Canberra Raiders were pulled apart in the first half by the Brisbane Broncos, Triple M’s Greg Martin asked the question “How come Ricky Stuart isn’t under the microscope?”
“He’s been eleven years at the Raiders and he hasn’t won a Premiership.
“Why’s he a protected species?” asked Marto, pointing to the fact that in two weeks time Ricky Stuart will become the fifth coach in NRL history to have coached 500 games, yet compared to the likes of Bellamy, Bennett and Brown the Raiders man is very light on when it comes to silverware won.
Is the 14 time Origin star and Canberra legend lucky to evade the kind of spotlight that other coaches experience or has he earned the right with the success he has brought over the journey?
