Brisbane Broncos, Queensland, Australia and Fiji legend Petero Civoniceva joined The Rush Hour with Gus, Jude & Wendell for the Hero, Highlight & Hardship podcast.
LISTEN HERE:
Civoniceva goes into details about the highs and lows of his career.
And as always, asked about his hero and Petero had a very sweet answer.
“Look I’m sitting next to him,” said Petero of his days playing alongside Wendell Sailor at the Brisbane Broncos.
“The way Wendell looked after a lot of young blokes, he always took time to make sure to check up on us, look out for us.
Though Wendell, thankful for the compliments was more in awe of Petero Snr.
Petero Jnr was famous for his size and what he was able to do with it.
Yet, Dell had more questions about his father, someone much bigger than his son.
“Can I ask? Your dad?” asked Sailor.
“What’s he? 6ft9/6ft8?”
“He’s a big man,” said Petero.
“I was a well behaved kid.”
