Tash Rigby shared her journey to becoming a captain for Perth Glory on International Women’s Day via the Rush Hour with Embers and Katie, inspiring women worldwide to pursue their goals.

LISTEN:

During an interview, Tash shared that growing up in Margaret River, she was an extremely energetic child who needed an outlet for her energy, so her parents enrolled her in soccer to keep her active.

“There were no girls teams at the time so I played with an all boys team…I think it was quite critical in my development,” Tash said on Rush Hour with Embers and Katie.

Tash’s proficiency in soccer fuelled her desire to achieve greater heights, leading her to pursue her passion for the sport by joining Perth Glory.

“I was sobbing when I got the trial…I thought it was a prank call.”

Through her outstanding skills in soccer, Tash reached a higher pinnacle by being selected as the skipper.

“I definitely had a little bit of imposter syndrome when I first was given the captaincy because I didn’t feel like I was ready.”
