Gil McLachlan Shoots Down Suggestions Of Changing The Brownlow Voting Process

Outgoing AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan has rejected any suggestions of the Brownlow voting process being taken off umpires, joining the Rush Hour with Bernie, Blewey & Jars after an epic Brownlow count.

“Nonsense. It’s part of the mystery and mystique,” Gil said of the umpires doing the Brownlow votes after each game.

“Its’s been the best five players in the league in the top five.. it’s not changing.”
