Max Gawn revealed why he prefers to play during the day, saying red footys are “easier to mark” on the Marty Sheargold Show.
Gawn finished second across the entire competition for contested marks last year, and that traditional Saturday afternoon time slot at the MCG is his preferred choice.
“They use red footys if it’s before 3 o’clock, and red footys are easier to mark,” he said.
“To be fair you use yellows in more slippery conditions at night, but I find them harder to mark, so red footys is where it’s at.”
