Will the Newcastle 500 be back for another five years, or is this the end?
City of Newcastle CEO Jeremy Bath says this year’s race was a huge success, with almost 170,000 people in attendance.
Community engagement however is now taking place, to help determine the future of the event in Newcastle.
He tells Tanya & Steve that while we need to listen to the businesses and residents in the East End, “we can’t make a decision just because a few people don’t like or have an adverse impact from the Newcastle 500”.
