Dale Thomas Reflects On Getting Drafted In 2005

Draft day looked a bit different back in 2005! Dale Thomas reflected on being read out at Pick No.2 by Collingwood in 2005.

“I remember coming in, my mum took me down. I shook hands with Eddie McGuire.”

DAISY’S DRAFT DAY:

“Eddie still laughs at this, because he reckons he gave me a wink… But I wasn’t sure.”

“There was no mock draft, like Cal Twomey’s. That wasn’t around then.”

Daisy said his life changed forever after his name was read out.

“From literally that moment on, my life changed forever.”

We also got our hands on Kevin Sheehan’s draft notes on Daisy!
