Prime Minister Anthony Albanese On The Importance Of The Voice

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese joins Tanya & Steve to talk about the current cost of living crisis and explains the importance of The Voice to Parliament.

Steve challenges the Prime Minister, suggesting that with the cost of living crisis, people have ‘bigger fish to fry’ and aren’t concerned about The Voice To Parliament.

“We also think that after 122 years, a simple proposition that we recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Australia’s first people in our nation’s founding document, is a very modest request,” Albanese said.

“And for an advisory committee that will give advice on matters affecting indigenous people, so we can get better outcomes.”

“Listening to people is the start of a solution–to talk to people who are directly affected by decisions.”
