Damien Hardwick Tells Us Why He Took The Gold Coast Suns Job

Damien Hardwick who coached the Richmond Tigers to 3 premierships, stepped away from the Tigers earlier this season, and after a brief break from the game he returns with a six-year deal to coach the Gold Coast Suns.

The Suns have been searching for a new permanent head coach since sacking Stuart Dew in July. Triple M’s Flan, Ali and Spida talk to Damien after yesterday’s exciting news.

“One of the deciding factors for me is,
I would love nothing more than to be a part of their first premiership team”.

Damien says, “I think a lot of the heaving lifting has been done within the Gold Coast Suns”. Asking the Gold Coast public and supporters “if you can jump on board, and show us your support, we’d really appreciate it cause I’m sure we’ll pay you back in spades”.
