‘I Hate Seeing An Iconic Club Go Down This Road’ | Wendell Sailor Tears Into St George Illawarra Dragons After Horror Day

Wendell Sailor expressed his disappointment in his former side St George Illawarra Dragons after a miserable day during an even worse season.

LISTEN HERE:

St George Illawarra Dragons were expected to welcome back club legend Jason Ryles and hand him his maiden head coaching role.

Yet the former star rejected his boyhood club for a return to Melbourne Storm to work under Craig Bellamy.

Another blow came from long-term sponsor St George Bank who pulled the pin on a long-term sponsorship due to the club’s recent reputation on and off the field.

‘It’s a tough pill to swallow for the Dragons,’ said Sailor.

‘At the Dragons, whether it’s the board, the sponsorships, everything isn’t in place.

‘I’d hate to see such an iconic club go down this road’
