Dual code legend Wendell Sailor says he doesn’t believe Cody Walker’s shock injury will trouble selectors and Blues coach Brad Fittler, declaring the playmaker is unlikely to find his name in the mix.
LISTEN HERE:
Walker on Friday was ruled out for the Rabbitohs’ Saturday clash with the Dragons, after suffering a quad injury on the eve of his final Origin audition.
The playmaker’s name had been the talk of pundits this week after first-choice halfback Nathan Cleary suffered a hamstring injury last weekend, leaving coach Fittler with a difficult decision to make on who should replace the Penrith and Blues champion.
“To be honest, I don’t think he was really a chance to be in and around the [selection] mix,” Sailor said on Triple M’s Rush Hour.
