Mark Geyer’s State Of Origin Stoush With Wally Lewis Like You’ve Never Heard Before

Mark Geyer’s infamous 1991 State of Origin clash with Wally Lewis has gone down in rugby league folklore.

It’s a story MG admits he gets asked about weekly.

And it wasn’t a question Mark Howard wasn’t going to ask on the latest episode of The Howie Games, detailing MG’s extensive career inside and outside the game.

“Just tell me, MG, what were you saying to each other!” Howie said.

So MG gave us the full blow-by-blow – literally – including the pressures he felt leading up, all the unfiltered words between himself and Wally as well as the aftermath.

“Now the hero worship’s gone. Now I want to punch this ****er in the face…”
