Danny Weidler on Triple M NRL’s The Journos backed Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs young gun Lachlan Galvin to thrive against his former club Wests Tigers on Sunday.
It was one of the biggest stories of the NRL year as Galvin’s messy relationship with his former employers came to an abrupt end as he joined the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs mid-season.
When asked about the expected constant barrage of boos from Tigers fans, Weidler backed the 20 year old.
“I think he’ll handle it,” said Weidler.
“Remember when he got dropped out of the team [Tigers] and then he came back,
“There was booing and stuff then and that was a high pressure game.”
But his co-host Michael Chammas chimed in, explaining that what’s coming towards Galvin will be much more pressured.
“The is going to different!” Chammas exclaimed.
“But I know, but it was still a high pressure for a kid,” added Weidler.
“And that was in the middle of it all [the drama] and he handled it all.”
