The name Geyer is synonymous with Penrith, and another chapter in that story was written on Thursday night as Mavrik Geyer made his debut for the club he grew up loving.
“It’s something that I’ve been dreaming of my whole life, it’s the sort of the stuff you think about when you go to bed at night.”
When asked what it was like to follow in the footsteps of his Dad and Uncle, Mav was quite emotional.
“It’s so special man, growing up and looking up to Dad and Greg[Alexander] and even Ben[Alexander] they just seems so far away with what they did and they won a comp here in the 91 Grand Final.”
“I’ve only played one game, but it just makes so much more motivation around it to just keep going and hopefully have a have a great career myself with this club.”
