“I Think He’s A Victim Of Circumstance” | Wade Graham On Cook Axing

Souths just can’t get themselves out of the headlines, whether it’s Damian Cook being axed or Jason Demetriou walking out of a press conference after 27 seconds – the drama seemingly has no end in sight.

Wade Graham thinks that Damian Cook has been a bit of a scapegoat after his axing from the team for this weekend’s clash against Cronulla.

“He probably hasn’t been playing the best footy of his career it’s hard when you’re in a team that is struggling for form but I think he’s more a victim of circumstance.” said Graham

“They’re already getting a force change at fullback with Latrell being suspended, Ellias is out so you can’t really drop the half or Cody.”

“They’re really they’re struggling with suspension and injuries already so there had to be a change, I feel like it’s more of a statement.”
