Panthers star Isaah Yeo has hit out at the NRL’s current stance on hip drop tackles, declaring the game’s most heated topic is “affecting” results after several controversial moments marred Brisbane’s 26-16 win over the Eels on Friday night.

Broncos pair Payne Haas and Ezra Mam, along with Eels utility J’maine Hopgood, all came under the microscope surrounding hip-drop tackles on the night.
With Hopgood’s sin-binning for a hip-drop tackle drawing criticism from many pundits, including Yeo who admitted he was left scratching his head over the ruling, the two-time premiership winner said the NRL’s stance has nearly reached a breaking point.
“You’re affecting a game of football, I feel the referees don’t even know sometimes,” he said on Triple M’s Saturday Scrum.
