Leigh Montagna doesn’t believe the Eagles have hit their lowest point, following the sacking of long-time coach Adam Simpson yesterday.
“My only concern with the next coach for West Coast, the club have to be committed for a long time. It’s going to be a long rebuild,” Joey told the Midweek Rub.
“Their young talent is still a mile off … they’re still reliant on their senior players.”
Montagna and Damian Barrett believe Adam Simpson “absorbing” another season of heartache for has made life easier for the incoming coach.
“It’s bought the club an extra 12 months to get through the hard period, so the new coach has got a little more breathing space.”
