“He Was Probably Short-Changed” Des Hasler & Manly Sea Eagles Go To Court!

Brent Read joined The Rush Hour with Gus, Jude & Wendell to discuss Gold Coast Titans coach Des Hasler taking his former employers Manly Sea Eagles to court.

LISTEN HERE:

After being dismissed at the end of the 2022 season, Hasler is chasing payments he believes are owed to him.

“Documents have been submitted by both sides but what’s interesting is that it lifted the curtain on Des’ contract he had with Manly before he was sacked,” explained Ready.

“When you look at the [top] NRL coaches their salary they’re generally on over $1m a year. Des was only on $720k a year at Manly.”

Though a new revelation has thrown an interesting spanner in the works which Read goes into detail.

“Des was probably short-changed at Manly and he’s looking to make it up.”
