A change-of-ball controversy enthralled the final day of the fifth Ashes test, as Australia’s top order collapse lead to an England win at The Oval.
Speaking to Triple M’s Marty Sheargold Show, batsmen Travis Head says there’s no doubt the ball swapped by the match officials played a part in the result, yet concedes “that’s cricket”.
“It was still swinging around corners, which made it more difficult,” he said.
“Especially chasing that many, we done such hard yards before that, to put the ball back in their court was disappointing, but can’t do much about it.”
