One of the great moments from one of the great Tests was Nathan Lyon’s shot over mid on.
With 11 runs to win and two wickets in hand, Lyon took the long handle to Stuart Broad and clubbed him to the long on boundary, out of nowhere.
Hadds – one of his good mates – wanted to know how the shot came about, as well as what he said after.
“One: did you mean that?! And two: what did you say to Patty?” he said on Willow Talk.
It got one of the all-time great yarns out of Gaz.
