Greg Blewett has revealed two big signings on the horizon for South Australia’s state cricket side as the 2022-23 season comes to a close.
The signings look set to bolster the Redbacks’ bowling stocks, with a young gun set to stay in SA after offers from another state, while Blewett believes it’s in the works for a former Aussie Test quick to sign on as the Redbacks’ bowling coach ahead of next season.
“Spencer Johnson, who had been courted by Queensland, is just about to sign on for South Australia,” Blewett revealed on The Rush Hour.
“He will not be going anywhere.”
In the coaching department, Blewett said South Australia’s coaching coup could be none other than Ryan Harris, returning to the state where he played two seasons of cricket at the beginning of his career.
“It’s not over the line yet, but… that is my mail.”
