One of the most intriguing names facing selection for Carlton’s elimination final next week will be Sam Docherty.
Docherty – who tore his ACL at the Gabba in the opening round – is pushing his case to return to the Blues outfit at the same venue six months later.
And – as Nathan Jones unpacked on Footy Talk – it’s an inclusion that could trump the likes of Curnow, McKay, Saad, McGovern and more for one reason.
“I think from a morale-boosting (perspective), why not?” he began.
“You’ve got one shot, have a crack. His inclusion could be from a heart and energy and emotional perspective, they’ve got to draw on all of that…”
