Carlton broke their losing streak in emphatic style against Gold Coast at the MCG on Sunday, with a nine goal blitz in the second quarter breaking the game apart for the Blues.
The nine goal avalanche was part of 12 unanswered majors for the Blues as they belted Gold Coast by 59 points on Sunday afternoon — a welcome relief after losing eight of their last nine.
The Blues had been scoring an average of just 52.6 points over the last five weeks, but outscored that in the second quarter alone with a withering 9.3 (57) burst.
