A lot has been said about the “Essendon edge” the Bombers have tried to bring to the AFL – and there’s an element of it Nick Riewoldt finds “laughable”.
Joey Montagna asked Riewoldt on Footy Talk on Tuesday what he’d made of the Bombers and their position early in the season.
The Bombers are 2-2 and sit 12th, but slumped to a 69-point defeat at the hands of Port Adelaide during Gather Round on the weekend.
So what did Roo make of it?
“I don’t mind that they went public with putting themselves out there with the Essendon edge, because then you create your own accountability,” he began.
