The Dees have been hit by another drug allegation – enough for former skipper Nathan Jones to give his perspective.
Federal MP Andrew Wilkie told parliament on Tuesday night of allegations from three people – former club doctor Zeeshan Arain, former president Glen Bartlett and Shaun Smith, father of Joel, of “off-the-books” tests.
The allegation was that players who had tested positive to drugs had faked injuries and withdrawn from games to circumvent match-day drug testing.
So Jones – who spent 16 years at the club for 302 games – shared what the drug testing at Melbourne was really like behind the scenes on Wednesday’s episode of Footy Talk.
