Jay Clark Explains How Hawthorn Could Trade Up To Pick One

Triple M Footy news breaker Jay Clark has explained the package Hawthorn could put together to tempt West Coast into a trade for their coveted pick one.

HOW HAWTHORN COULD TRADE UP TO PICK ONE:

“We’ve been talking a lot about North Melbourne swapping with West Coast for pick one, or Melbourne swapping with West Coast for pick one to get Harley Reid,” Jay said on Dead Set Legends with Joey, Jay, Kath & Lehmo.

“I don’t think you could rule that plot out from the Hawks.”

Never miss anything with the Best of Triple M Footy playlist:

Jay-Z explained how a potential trade could go down.

“They have got pick three, and what they can do is that Tyler Brockman or Denver Granger-Barrass, they can package up as a bit of a bundle,” he said

“Maybe a future pick as well, just to dangle the carrot a bit to West Coast in a swap to try and get that number one pick.”

MORE ON FOOTY TRADES:

Jay-Z explained that North Melbourne will be a complicating factor in any potential swap, however.

“The difficulty is that North Mebourne is in between, and they will have a strong say and obviously a better pick, pick 2, to try and deal with West Coast,” he said.

“But it’s something… that has been flying under the radar in trade discussions so far, but I don’t think you could rule the Hawks out.”

MORE FROM JAY CLARK:

Jay also explained the suitors for big Cat Esava Ratugolea, why there’s been little interest in Jack Silvagni, and the big question — is there a big bombshell coming?
