Ex-Eagle Scott Selwood On How West Coast Can Turn Things Around

After his old side endured arguably the darkest day in their history in a 171-point thumping to Sydney – the fourth biggest loss in VFL/AFL history – former West Coast best and fairest and current Pies assistant Selwood told us what the club needs to do.

“You try and potentially get new coaching philosophies.. then there’s potential to slowly get back up,” he told the Sunday Rub.

“Things can change really quickly… We were in dire straits here at Collingwood with our salary cap issues [and] trying to attract people to the club.

“But you get no joy in seeing results like that.”
