Dale Thomas’ Solution For Melbourne’s Forward Line Woes

The Midweek Rub broke down what Melbourne need to fix their forward line woes.

Dale Thomas believes the Dees need to revert back to using Christian Petracca inside 50 to avoid a straight sets finals exit.

“Send him to the goal square and say ‘Christian, see what the defence wants to do’.”

FIXING THE DEES FORWARD LINE:

“Play him as a bear in the square like Dusty did.”

“You just turn and you’ve got Christian Petracca 1-on-1 inside forward 50 – get it in there with speed.”

Leigh Montagna believes Brodie Grundy is “a million to one” to return to the team, saying they need to go into Friday’s final with a smaller line-up.
