Brendan Fevola has revealed he approached Carlton and David Teague two years ago with an offer to help Harry McKay in front of goal.
McKay has come into the spotlight this season for his goal kicking technique, preferring the snap over the drop punt.
Fevola – who himself was wayward in front of goal at stages, kicking 26.29 in his second season – told Footy Talk he made a pitch to David Teague two years ago.
It was all spurred on from the help he received early in his Carlton days.
“I actually went to Teaguey a couple of years ago,” he said on Thursday.
“I said ‘hey mate, if you want, I’d love to come down and have some goal kicking with Harry’. Not teach him how to kick, but help him.”
