A Ute With A Basketball Ring Travelled Australia Promoting Ford Aussie Hoops

To inspire the next generation of Aussie basketball players and promote their Ford Aussie Hoops initiative — which runs basketball programs for kids aged 5-10 years old — Ford Dealers and Basketball Australia fitted a basketball ring to the back of a Ford Ranger and travelled to remote locations around the country.

A documentary about the mobile hoop features some Aussie basketball legends including Josh Giddey, Patty Mills and Lauren Jackson.

Watch: Ford Aussie Hoops. A documentary film.

The video features the basketball-ready Ford Ranger trekking out to the beach, bush and outback, allowing aspiring basketball players to meet some of the best national players and shoot hoops in iconic locations.

The documentary includes interviews with players Anneli Male, Sara Blicavs, Jack McVeigh, Chris Goulding, and Alex Toohey, who reflect on their basketball careers and how they have overcome challenges to compete at a national level.
