MYTH BUSTING: Can Eating Popping Candy And Drinking Coke Make Your Stomach Explode?

If you’re a fan of novelty treats, you must be familiar with popping candy and sour gummy lollies. What’s actually going on in your mouth when you eat them?

There’s been a persistent urban legend that popping candy, combined with fizzy drinks, is lethal. The story goes that the two substances combine in your stomach and lead to an explosion of gas. This makes your stomach swell and explode, or bursts a hole in the lining, or something. In this week’s episode of Huh?
