Woodsy On Why The Roosters Can’t Beat Penrith Or The Storm

Time and time again the Roosters come up short against the Panthers and the Storm.

There’s the old adage ‘styles make fights’ and Aaron Woods feels like it applies when the Chooks face off with the top two teams.

“One win from 20 games against Penrith or the Melbourne Storm, for me it’s just a styles match up.” said Woods

“So the Roosters love that flat fast type of footy, the power game. The Melbourne Storm and Penrith both have a forward pack that know how to stop them.”

“And then the other thing is defensively with the Roosters they like to get up, a lot of line speed and put really a lot of pressure on.”

“A bloke like Nathan Cleary he’ll just see, he’ll go to the line If he’s getting pressure from the inside he’ll just drop someone under and he just doesn’t care about time.”

“He’ll just keep doing it for 80 minutes until the Roosters have that one slip up, someone will go through.”
