Wests Vs Balmain – The Civil War Of Tigertown

Everything points to a civil war brewing at Tigertown between the Wests and Balmain factions despite a public denial by Balmain.

Michael Chammas revealed confidential emails that paint anything but a rosy picture at the Wests Tigers organisation.

“I think it’s it’s farcical to think that the Balmain Tigers are going to exist again in the NRL.” said Chammas

There seems to now be a push to revive the Magpies brand from within Wests in response to Balmain’s desire to break free of the venture.

“I wrote tonight in the Sydney Morning Herald that a high ranking Wests Tigers representative has gone to the NRL with concerns that someone on that board is trying to revive the Magpies”

There has forever been tension between the two factions ever since both foundation clubs were forced to merge for survival at the end of the 1999 season.
