The Tongan national team decided to relocate to Rooty Hill RSL, basing themselves in the Tongan heartland of Sydney ahead of the Pacific Championship final against Australia.
Josh Mansour, former Australian and Lebanese international explained on The Rush Hour the galvanising effect local, minority communities can have on emerging rugby league nations, touching on his experiences with the Cedars.
“I think it’s more connected,” said Mansour.
“When you’re in camps like this, you want to connect with local communities and your culture.”
