The Roosters are one step closer to securing the signature of Angus Crichton after missing out David Fifita, who sensationally backflipped on his deal with the Tri-Colours are the deal was publicly announced.

Brent Read revealed that Uncle Nick has tabled an offer to Crichton, who’s red hot form this season has him firmly on the radar of Blues coach Michael McGuire.

“His management had a meeting with the Roosters on Friday, they’ve tabled a two year
deal to Angus Crichton.” said Read

“I don’t think they’re there yet but it’s really close and that meeting was really promising. They’ll have some more talks early next week, but I’d imagine as it stands right now Angus will sign a two year deal with the Roosters.”

“There’s some clubs that were sniffing around him he got linked with Penrith, is management had a meeting with the Bulldogs. The Bulldogs said we just want to be kept informed
of negotiations and how they’re going ut I think that meeting on Friday
went really well.”
