Souths tragic Anthony Maroon and Brent Read had a fiery clash over South Sydney’s capitulation this season, with star fullback Latrell Mitchell being the centre of the debate.
Speaking on Triple M’s Saturday Scrum, Maroon didn’t hold back in his assessment of Latrell’s off field conduct.
“It’s not a good look when you’ve won 4 games since May and this blokes up on stage with some country and western star.” said Maroon.
“While the club is going so s******** it’s not a good look for this bloke to be away at rodeos…I don’t care whose concert it is, Souths come first or he can go and play somewhere else.”
Read disagreed that the Rabbitohs fall from grace was solely down to Mitchell.
“You’re throwing Latrell under the bus, Cody’s form tailed off as well…” said Read.
“You can’t just pin it on one bloke Maroon.”
