Is Jamal Fogarty that guy?
It was a question raised to both Todd Carney and Mitchell Pearce after the quick return to form for the Canberra Raiders as their halfback recovered from a long absence with a bicep injury.
Speaking on Footy Talk League’s Half-Time, the club’s record of 6-3 with Fogarty, but 3-6 without him, Pearce praised his fellow seven for getting the Raiders season back on track as a dog fight for finals spots starts to emerge.

“Game management is what team’s miss when [stars] don’t play, that’s what he brings to Canberra,” said Pearce.
“His kicking game and direction, it’s as simple as that.
“He’s underestimated with his instincts as well, he plays great eyes up footy.”
The Canberra Raiders have secured consecutive wins since Fogarty’s return to action but face a huge test in the next three weeks against fellow Finals contenders, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Manly Sea Eagles and North Queensland Cowboys.
