“How Is He An Immortal Now?” | Brent Read On Nathan Cleary

In the wake of his magical performance in the Grand Final, many are already crowning Nathan Cleary as the next Immortal although Brent Read thinks this is a little premature.

Speaking on Triple M’s Monday Scrum, Read feels that Cleary still needs to make his mark in the Origin and Test arenas before he can enter the immortal conversation.

“He’s 25 and he’s got 10 years left, there’s people saying he’s going to be an Immortal you can’t say that now.” said Read

“He’s got 10 years to go in his career, he might never win another comp.”

“He might never dominate Origin, he might not ever dominate test footy how is he an Immortal now?”
