Back in July of this year, rugby league legend Greg Inglis joined Aaron Woods for Footy Talk League’s Woodsy’s Club Tour, and the latter had to ask about a match both former players featured in.
Round 1, 2017, GI’s South Sydney Rabbitohs started off the season against Woodsy’s Wests Tigers.
Inglis suffered a torn ACL less than 10 minutes into the game.

Though the Goanna didn’t come off the field right away, he played until mid-way through the second-half, not realising the extent of the injury until it was too late.
He even shockingly scored late in the first-half.
Inglis added that even before the game he already, “had no MCL, no PCL. It was already worn thin.”
The Rabbitohs would lose the match 34-18 and they would struggle that season, languishing in 12th.
