“At This Stage, I Think He Will Have It.” | Brent Read On Freddy Retaining Blues Job

Brad Fittler has been tipped to hold onto the Blues coaching job for 2024, despite losing the series 2-1 this year.

Brent Read revealed on Triple M’s Monday Scrum that a meeting is planned this week to iron out the details for Freddy and his coaching staff for next year.

“There’s a board meeting on Friday, the NSW Rugby League were hoping to go to that board meeting on Friday with Freddy’s plan for his staff for Origin next year.” said Read.

“If they were happy with it they’d approve it, they haven’t got that plan yet.”

“I think if he’s got Ivan Cleary on his side, that’ll go a long towards insuring he has the job again.”

“At this stage, I think he will have it.”
