Albo Disgusted By Triple M Wooden Spoon

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese got more than he bargained for when he stepped into the studios at Triple M Breakfast on Thursday morning.

Albanese was in town after visiting the EKKA on Wednesday and stopped in to say hello to Marto, Margaux and Dan who had a special gift for the PM.

The Prime Minister is a massive South Sydney Rabbitohs fan and has been licking his wounds after a season to forget, his beloved Rabbitohs currently anchored to the bottom of the NRL ladder alongside the Gold Coast Titans.

LISTEN NOW:

Triple M Breakfast with Marto, Margaux and Dan gifted the Prime Minister a seven-foot-tall wooden spoon with coach Wayne Bennett’s head on it.

“That is just terrible,” Mr Albanese said.

“You’ve met Wayne Bennett, I’m going to give it to Wayne and I’m going to give him your name, address and phone number.

“Tavita Tatola will be round to your place with Cam Murray, they’ve got nothing else to do, they’re not playing!”

He’s also called on the NRL to allow fans onto the field when Rabbitohs winger Alex Johnston breaks Ken Irvine’s all time try scoring record.

“I’ve pitched up to the NRL (that fans should be allowed on the field) this is a moment like when Buddy Franklin broke the 1000 record, all the fans at the SCG ran on and AJ is such an extraordinary, he’s a lovely bloke too.

“He’s actually really gentle. He’s played for just one club. Good Larper boy.”
