Seven people aged between 18 and 56 were staying at a five-star resort in Warwick, and four are Australian according to local reports.
They reportedly experienced nausea, vomiting and neurological symptoms after consuming a cocktail at the resort’s bar.
It’s yet to be confirmed what actually caused the guests to fall ill and local police are investigating.
Warwick Resort told the ABC it was still operational.
“We don’t have anything to disclose because the resort is under investigation,” the resort’s reception said.
The incident comes after the deaths last month of Melbourne teenagers Bianca Jones and Holly Bowles and four other tourists from suspected methanol poisoning in Laos.
