The $5k reason to work from home, according to new study

If you’ve always argued you save heaps of money when you work from home, you’re right. You’re saving over $5000. 

New research from Deloitte Access Economics shows the average Australian worker could save $5308 a year by taking out transportation and fuel costs.

The study also found the standoff between employers expecting staff to work from the office and employees wanting to work, at least some days from home, had ended.

Eighty per cent of those surveyed expected work-from-home arrangements to continue for at least the next two years. 

Meanwhile, the employment rate remains at a near record low of 4.1 per cent, with 390,000 more Australians finding work over the last 12 months.
